Using the Status Sheet — Reconciling SoCE (Desktop)

What it is: The Status sheet diagnostic for an unreconciled amount on the Statement of Changes in Equity (SoCE) — where equity movements occurred during the year that have not yet been entered on the SoCE.

What it's for

The SoCE tracks all movements in equity and reserves during the year. Draftworx automatically populates profit/loss, other comprehensive income, and dividends. Any other equity movement (e.g., new share issues, capital contributions, equity transfers) must be added manually by the compiler. The Status sheet flags the unreconciled balance so it is not missed before the AFS is finalised.

How to do it

  1. If "Other changes not yet reconciled" appears on the Status, navigate to the SoCE.
  2. The "Other changes not yet reconciled" row shows the amount still to be entered.
    • Use Freeze Panes (under Content) to make navigation on the wide SoCE easier.
  3. Identify the nature of the unreconciled movement (e.g., capital contribution, share buyback, equity reserve transfer).
  4. Enter the amount in the relevant dark blue input cells on the SoCE for the applicable equity column and movement row.
  5. Once entered, the "Other changes not yet reconciled" row is hidden on the SoCE.
  6. The Status sheet clears once all movements are reconciled.

For transfers between equity reserves, refer to the Equity Transfers article.
